Ghana: Ghana’s Economic Growth Without Economic Comfort – Why Millions Still Struggle Amid Positive National Indicators

[Ghanaian Times] Ghana's economy has entered 2026 with signs of renewed strength and macroeconomic recovery. According to the latest Gross Domestic Product estimates released by the Ghana Statistical Service, the economy expanded by 6.4 per cent in the first quarter of 2026, slightly higher than the 6.2 percent recorded during the same period in 2025. The figures reveal broad-based sectoral improvement. The Services sector grew by 7.1 per cent and accounted for nearly half of overall Gross Domestic Product growth.
