IAPI wants sectoral policies for intellectual property
January 27, 2012 | News Source: Minute to MinuteLuanda - The Angolan Institute of Industrial Property (IAPI) will from this year, define set sectoral policies aimed at generating creativity and innovation of new products for industrial and services through scientific research and technological development, guaranteed in Luanda the director of the institute, Barros Licença.
According to Barros Licença, the creativity and innovation should be associated with intellectual property right, forming a whole, whose development will require the institutionalisation of specific and appropriate funds for this purpose.
“It is necessary to produce specific laws and regulations on various subjects that make up intellectual property as recommended by the Constitution of the Republic”, said the director to ANGOP.
Yet this year, within the institutional approach, he said, the IAPI will hold visits to provinces of Huambo, Zaire, Kwanza Sul and Lunda Sul and countries such as China and India to gather experience.
